MSI Meet & Greet 2019 was held on 23rd October.  At the event, three new laptop series from world-renowned laptop and computer hardware maker Micro-Star International or MSI were introduced.

  1.  Creator
  2.  Prestige
  3.  Modern

Coming out of the traditional gaming series, this laptop series is going to come to the market of Bangladesh to work related to MSI Content Creator, 2D, 2.5D, 3D design, graphic design or game design.

Marcos Tussang and Mark Lee from MSI were present on the occasion.  From the beginning to the end of the show, these 3 productive stations introduced us to the laptop series.

There are a number of laptop users who want to use laptops for content creation but gaming laptops are usually used for gaming purposes and the biggest disadvantage of these laptops is their display, battery life and productivity related software optimization.  MSI has come up with their Creator, Prestige and Modern series to solve these problem.

Of the three laptop series, the Creator series is the highest performance based laptop.  These laptops work from 2D to 3D and heavy workload.  This is followed by the Prestige series which is capable of working on 2D and 2.5D softwares and lastly the modern series laptops which are capable of doing normal 2D related work, photo or video editing.

Although laptops are made for all kinds of media and content creatives, laptops can be a good option for business or self-employment.

Slim, slick and industrially designed, these laptops are as light and portable as they are light.

Laptops are a bit different from normal slim profile laptops.  For example, the trackpad of Prestige series laptops is wider than a normal trackpad.  The Silky Smooth Touchpad has ample space so that the user can easily do the work of drag and drop.

The Creator series P65 and P75 laptops will be available in 16 and 15 inch variants.  It will use Intel's 9th generation Core i9 and Core i7 processors.  The highest models as graphics cards will be the RTX series 2060 and 2070 Max Q GPUs.  Although RAM is supported up to a maximum of 64 GB, it will change depending on the model.  Besides, the main attraction of laptops is its display.  The highest model laptop has 4k, 100% Adobe RGB, True Color Technology facility.  The displays are CalMAN verified for color accuracy and display certification.  Laptops weighing only 1.6 kg will be ultra thin.  So it is giving all the benefits of portability with the latest hardware.

The Prestige 15 and Prestige 14 laptops in the Prestige series will be powered by an Intel Core i7 processor and GTX 1650 MaxQ, and the laptop will have a 4k display and a full HD display.  Usually these laptops can be used for 2D or 2.5D type media and content creation work.  Besides, the laptops will be slim enough and will weigh about 1.6 kg.

The Modern series on the other hand has Modern 14 and this laptop will be more slim and lighter.  It also has 10th generation Intel Core i7 U processor.  It will have NVIDIA GeForce MX250 external graphics chip with maximum 32GB RAM support.  It is better to call these laptops notebooks because their design and weight are almost the same as notebooks.  However, video or photo editing and 2D graphical work can be done in it.  Although this modern series of laptops are mostly made for business and office use.

Laptops have been given multiple heat sinks instead of the traditional single heat sinks.  Which is able to give better cooling according to MSI's commentary.

Three laptop series are claiming long battery life.  These laptops are capable of giving a minimum of 6 to 16 hours of battery backup.  There is also Hi-Res Audio certification for high quality sound with Nahimic sound driver technology.

It is hoped that the laptops will be able to respond to the market in Bangladesh.
